suicide...

(2) Under no circumstances take your life – no matter how intense the urge becomes. Regardless of how things seem this very moment, there actually is help you have yet to discover, especially for those with faith in Christ.

The number of times I felt within a split-second of taking my life is more than I can actually count.

Many times I was afraid of my impulses – that I would do something spontaneously at the spur of a moment because of the intensity of the pain.

Many times I feared doing it out of sheer panic without my “official OK.”

You’ve heard the phrase “out of the frying pan and into the fire.” I have no guarantees – nor does anyone else on this side of the grave, that suicide would lead to a sure relief.

There are religious and spiritual issues that the finest theologians still debate on this issue.

So if the chance is even one in a million of more suffering, even with those odds I would not risk gambling my eternity away.

Imagine spending the rest of forever realizing that no matter how crazy it seemed – you were wrong!

Suicide is an unrepeatable act which cannot be undone.

No matter how hard you cry – you will never come back.

You will never have a second chance.

I am not suggesting that all suicides go to hell.  There was a time in my life where I was convinced this could never happen to one such as myself.  The truth is – I really don’t know anymore. Maybe I never did.

Over the years however I’ve spotted countless errors in my thinking and interpretation of scripture, enough to say that I no longer profess to know for sure on this issue.

In other words, as much as I may hate to admit it, I cannot make a guarantee against this possibility for anyone.

I may be imperfect in my faith or doctrine.  But this is a chance not worth taking. Better to be safe than sorry.

No matter how remote, it is not worth the chance of an act with eternal consequences that can never be undone.

Sure I may pray that mercy would override the judgment of God and prevent such an outcome, but I am not God, and am unwilling to find out through experience that I was wrong.

So if you feel that bad now, but down this book and call 911. Your friends may not understand and it may seem overdramatic and scary, but it is infinitely better to wake up tomorrow in a hospital bed than in further torment that lasts forever.

Black fire!

Suicide? –

STOP! Read this first!

Your immediate Crisis requires immediate attention!

If you feel the slightest bit suicidal, Call 911 Now, or ask someone to do it for you.

Then read below.   - It’s absolutely critical that you do…Now!
There are many factors to depression. But first things must come first if we are to deal with the issue completely.

Did it ever occur to you that God may be calling you?

The only thing hindering your spiritual eyesight is denial.

We lie to ourselves, lies that will ultimately destroy us.

And our pain is the proof that we don’t see spiritual truths correctly and through this denial we are injuring ourselves.

For instance – people tend to naturally believe that we are “good,” and that we have “God within” (By default I guess).

Believing that “we are all his children” is a close third.

If we believe these areas to be alright (when they’re not), we’ll never attempt to fix them.

Believe it or not, none of those myths are true, and if you can’t see the Problem, you’ll never see the solution.

We remain spiritually unhealed and in the dark.

Our self- induced Novocain numbs us to the problem, and therefore sadly – the solution as well.

Though it’s true we were created to be His children, the Bible teaches that becoming a child of God is not automatic.

In fact for any of these assumptions to become true, God first gives us a choice.
Just for a moment, try to see things from a different angle:
If you were to be asked by God why He should grant you an entrance into heaven, you would probably answer as most do, - “Because I’m a good person.”

You’re thinking, “I may not be perfect, but I try hard and God knows I’m doing the best I can.”

Unfortunately your best doesn’t cut it as far as God’s standard for Holiness goes. The Bible says “All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.

You can never save your soul. As long as you rely on own efforts at being good or religious to save yourself, you are putting faith in you instead of in God (and no, its not a 50-50 split – its all God or no God!).

Whatever you put your faith in is what you’re worshiping.

If you’re accustomed to trusting in your own efforts or your “inner-self,”   -To that same extent you are worshiping yourself instead of God.

Very simply, you’re committing the sin of self righteousness!

The Bible says “There is a way that seems right unto a man, but its end is the way of death.”

Unfortunately, the only way most people awaken to this reality is through a great deal of pain, - ending in an utter despair of self effort.

Ironically, right when we come to the end of ourselves and our despair is at its highest, is right when we are most ready for a new beginning, and a new hope.

We are now ready to really switch our faith from self to a more complete faith in God. Hope Is just around the corner.

Until we get kicked off our private thrones, most of us simply will not come to the end of ourselves.

When we come to the awareness of our own inadequacy, when we despair of our own efforts, then and only then – are we ready for God.

We need to be “emptied of self” – if we are truly to be filled with God.

Our denial causes a spiritual blindness that disables our ability to admit that (1) we are not “good,” – we are sinners.

(2) We do not have “God within,” (3) nor are we his children by default.  God gives us a choice in all these areas.

And until we see our lack – that we don’t have these things by default, we’ll never look for the answer in those areas – after all, “We already have them -right?

So the pain and darkness continue.

A drowning man cannot be his own lifeguard, and sinners cannot be their own “saviors.”  When Jesus died on the cross it was not just to be a religious symbol.

He took our place in Judgment. He bore our sins and intercepted the punishment we deserved.  That is why we can only get to heaven by fully trusting in Him to save our souls, and not our own efforts, good intentions, religion, or self righteousness to do the job.

We simply can’t do it, only He can.  To see this clearly – We must be painfully brought to the end of ourselves, to put all our faith in Him alone! Do it – trust not at all in your self efforts, but only in Him, and you will be saved! Forgiven! Bound for heaven!

That is why it is so utterly ridicules to think we can save our own souls.

The opposite is the truth. We are sinners.  We do not know God by default and so He must act in our lives to bring us to the end of our selves, that we might finally trust Christ to save us.

So how can we become saved and start really getting to know God? It is done in a moment.

In an act of faith that starts the minute we totally place our trust in Jesus Christ alone to save our souls and forgive all our sins.

Then we trust Him for everything -to run our lives from here on out. We moment by moment turn ourselves and everything in our lives over to Him. That’s called faith. That’s called Lordship.  That’s called discipleship. That’s what it really means to be a Christian!

Then:
(1) Read the Bible regularly.
(2) Pray with out ceasing.
(3) Find a good Bible Believing church and Go to it regularly!

It is impossible to overstate the importance of these three things.

Your eternal soul and infinitely valuable walk with God depend on them!

Leave even one out, and you’re likely to find yourself emotionally back where you started, ruined by despair.

We must do it God’s way if we are to make it!
